Indian Food Take Away

When we first arrived to Gibraltar, we didn’t have stocked cupboards, so we headed out to the supermarket.  As we were loading up on supplies, we noticed a large section that was all take away, heat and eat food.  As we were looking through the various offerings, one thing was readily apparent.  These were not the typical American re-heatable meals.  One look at the ingredients list, and you could see that the preservatives were missing, and the ingredients were all natural goodness.  Intrigued, we chose an Indian meal for 2.

Upon opening the bag, we were not disappointed.  Everything looked fresh and good.  We heated everything up, and Nancy plated it for proper presentation.  First taste told us that these were no ordinary take aways.  We enjoyed the explosion of flavors as we celebrated our wonderful find with high fives.  For £6.95, this was a great find.  We have now had this meal twice, and both times we have thoroughly enjoyed it.  The second time was a different selection of Indian food, but just as good as the first.  One item was very spicy, the chicken jalfrezi, but I still enjoyed its great flavor through my tears and runny nose.  When I noticed what appeared to be the same pepper arriving on my fork for another bite later in the meal, I didn’t shy away.  Yep, that was the one.  Tears flowed again, but I was still loving my meal.  As I write this now, I sit with a full, warm belly.  Looking forward to the next time we eat in for good quality Indian food.
