Paprika Vegan Restaurant Granada Spain

On our recent trip to Granada, we had the opportunity to eat dinner at Paprika.  Summer made us dinner reservations.  We were at the plaza overlooking the beautiful Alhambra.  Using navigation (extremely useful)  we walked to Paprika in only 8 minutes.

I love that Paprika uses local and organic ingredients.

They have menus in both Spanish and English.  It was difficult to choose, but Clarissa, the owner, said that they could bring us a variety of dishes according to the chef’s choice.  We could share from each plate, family style.  Yes!  We all loved that idea!

Our first dish was a delicious vegetable pasta with sesame.  Yum!  I loved this.

quesadillas at Paprika Granada Spain

Vegan quesadillas with a sweet and sour sauce.  I am not sure what was used in the filling, but I think it was beans with a smokey flavor.  This was Dave and Luie’s favorite.

desserts at Paprika Granada Spain

Dessert plate including chocolate truffles, fruit covered in hot fudge sauce with sweet chilis, cream with caramel sauce, and a fruit pudding.  This was a big hit with everyone.  Everything was sweet and delicious, but not too sweet.  The chocolate truffles were rich and creamy.  How do they make them so good?  Dave asked about them and they use dates to sweeten them.  Wow, I would never have guessed.

Oh my goodness that was so fun!  We enjoyed all the food and the dessert.

It really is surprising that it was all vegan.  But really, everyone would like this place.  Good quality food that is also healthy and tasty.  Plus, it is a nice and friendly atmosphere.

BO2 wine

I almost forgot to mention, the organic wine.  It was BO2, made from the Granada area Tempranillo grapes.  Very very good!

The owner, Clarissa, and the chef were nice enough to pose for a quick photo, even though they were very busy.  Sorry about the blur 🙁

Some of the foods that we enjoyed were not on the menu but were part of the “menu of the day.”  I would recommend asking about those daily specials, because everything we had was delicious.
