Charlotte Gastrobar & Cafe in Malaga Spain
Whenever we visit a new city, Summer gets busy doing research. She is a real foodie and she loves Spanish food. So when we visited Malaga, she looked for a place that would have some interesting tapas.
The Charlotte Gastrobar & Cafe was her choice. So she emailed them and made reservations for us for dinner.
The staff were very friendly.
We arrived shortly after it opened for dinner, but the place filled up quickly. And we soon found out why.
We started off with salads: Above is the Caesar salad.
Thai salad: topped with fresh mango and a mango vinaigrette.
Dave got the Hamburger XXL. It had been such a long time since he had had a hamburger, and he was raving about how good it was. He said that the caramelized onion was terrific and the quality of the meat was better than he ever got in the US.
Summer got the tomato and avocado tart with pesto and tuna. She loved it.
Luie got the lasagne. It was creamy and delicious and very filling. Dave and I had to help him finish. It was topped with a peppermint oil, such an interesting flavor combination, unexpected but simply delicious.
I got the chicken sticks with poppy seeds and an apple curry sauce. The flavors were amazing. I loved this. I could taste lemon and curry, and an interesting combination that was unique and delicious. I highly recommend this!
At the end of the night only Summer had room left for dessert. She got lemon basil mouse with strawberry topping. It was very tasty.
Alvaro, was so nice and took such good care of us. He was a good sport to take a moment for a picture with the kids.
What a lovely night.
