Ronda Spain
Ronda has an old town and a new town that is connected by their famous bridge. We took some time to explore both areas. Luie kept remarking how many churches there were. And he was right. Along with many impressive churches there were also several museums. There is a lot of interesting history in Ronda.
I just love this! The decorative windows and doors of the old buildings and the outside dining areas.
A park with a view!
There is a nice walk way along the ridge of the new town with views of the fields and country below. Beautiful!
Summer enjoyed taking lots of pictures and later commented that she loved this place!
There were many little one room deli like places. The photo above is a little deli that specialized in Spain’s favorite, jamon (ham).
After passing so many eateries and delis, we decided a picnic at the park would be perfect. So we stopped at this little place because the fresh bread was calling to us. I got to practice my Spanish and ordered sandwiches with fresh cheese, tomato, and olive oil. We also got some mixed nuts, drinks, and some pastelitas (little pastries of almond flour, honey, and chocolate) for the kids.
There were quite a few other tourists also visiting Ronda. We saw many tour groups and heard quite a few different languages. This is just the beginning of tourist season. But from now on places are going to be more busy. Of course it is always fun to meet new people.
