When I feel the sunshine on my face and a warm breeze whispering in my ear, it is as if the beach is calling me. Fortunately the rest of the family feels the same way. So we were off to enjoy the afternoon soaking up the sun.
Since there are so many beaches in the area and so few tourists this time of year, we practically had the whole beach to ourselves. Perfect for a siesta in the sun with the sound of the gentle waves to lull us to sleep. Which is exactly what Summer and I did. Dave explored the rocks on the far side of the beach and discovered an interesting arch. Luie kept busy digging in the sand. He likes to watch a t.v. show called Gold Rush Alaska with Dave. This show is about digging for gold. So while digging, Luie kept saying “Look at my glory hole now!”
Later, Summer walked around taking pictures. She is really developing an artistic eye. The perspective of her photos is quite unique and interesting. She will post more of her photography on her blog in a few days.
While I was busy taking photos, Luie quickly climbed up the rock and shouted “Look at me!” Boy, that kid scares me sometimes. He is a quick little monkey.
It may seem obvious after looking at these pictures, that we are NOT missing the snow and cold. But, we are missing family and friends, especially during the holiday season.
”Let your mind start a journey thru a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take you where you long to be…Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar, and you’ll live as you’ve never lived before.”
