Vino Mio Malaga Spain
We have enjoyed some delicious meals and some wonderful experiences during our time in Spain. What I love about Vino Mio, is that it is a combination of both!
Right next to Teatro Cervantes is Restaurante Vino Mio.
Summer made dinner reservations for us, which I would recommend, since they are very popular.
We loved the variety of choices on the menu. It is not always easy to get vegetarian options when in Spain. On this evening, we were in the mood for something without meat. Summer choose the vegetable enchilada. It was creamy and delicious and full of nicely roasted veggies.
Luie choose sausages and fries. He ate it all, so it must of been good.
Dave choose grilled vegetable couscous and he was very happy with his choice.
I had the ensalada queseria with brie, chevre, walnuts, dates, and more. It was very tasty.
There is a Flamenco performance every night. In this smaller setting, without a stage, it is more intimate and interactive.
While enjoying the show, we were also enjoying some dessert.
Luie choose the mango mousse, which he was nice enough to share. It was so creamy with this fresh mango flavor. I loved it.
Dave choose a strawberry sorbet, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Summer and I were very full and agreed to share the Guinness chocolate tarta. Wow! Fantastico! No wonder it was highly recommended.
Now, back to the show. The performers were fun and interactive. Even the waitresses were joining in and having fun. This gave an atmosphere of pure enjoyment. Before long, everyone in the restaurant was clapping along with the Flamenco.
The show got even more interactive when the Flamenco dancer started including people from the restaurant. Summer was the first one chosen. She was soon following along with the Flamenco moves and having a great time.
Dave and I were happily snapping pictures of our little dancer. I only wish we would have thought to get some video. Too bad. (Or, maybe, we will just have to go back again 🙂
Other people were also brought up front, and were good sports, dancing and clapping. Everyone in the restaurant was smiling, laughing, and having a great time.
The owner, Helene, and the chef have been working together for about 10 years. They really take pride in the quality of the food and happy atmosphere of the restaurant. Also, the chef has recently come out with a new cookbook, which you can buy at the restaurant.
We had such a wonderful evening. Vino Mio is more than a restaurant, it is a fun experience. Which is why it will be included in my Top 5 Recommendations on what to do in Malaga post, coming soon.
